Interesting… but could be better. Even if I enjoyed it, I would say that this drama lacks of originality. From the beginning till the end, the plot was full of cliche and deja-vus. However, the amazing acting compensated the whole thing. To start off, our forever-shuai-ge, Mike He, was the lead. He played a typical arrogant superstar, but who actually suffered in his past life. There is then Cindy Wang who played a usual hardworking and well-mannered girl. And of course, they hate each other when they meet at first.

In this story, this is a more complicated twist. Mei Le was actually the girlfriend of Yi Lie’s older brother, Yi Feng. Because he falls in love with a worker in their bakery, he will end up cheating on Mei Le. This create a huge fuss in both of their families… This girl, Xuan Xuan will be hated by everyone, but Mei Le accepted her. Meanwhile, Yi Lie falls for Mei Le. As soon as she breaks up with his brother, he starts chasing for her love.

Afterwards, the internal family issue starts. We discover that because of past problems, Yi Lie and his mother hate each other. When she discovers that Mei Le is dating him, and not her elder son, she goes crazy. I think that having this kind of mother is a little scary, but at the end, she stays a loving mother. And while all these things are happening, there is Yi Lie’s manager who confesses that she loves him. Even if she does not have any impact on him nor Mei Le, not the plot, I guess it was part of the many conflicts…

That’s not it. Mei Le’s brother will end up liking Yi Lie’s sister who is pregnant from another man. That’s quite a complicated family, especially when we know that Yi Lie’s ex-girlfriend had an affair and dated his father. Regardless of everything, things seems to get better… and now, the epic car accident. So Yi Lie gets into this major accident, the final episodes are similar tho Why Why Love, a struggle between life and death. Even then, another guy squeezed in their relationship.

I think that the reason why a ‘typical’ drama like this was still so entertaining is based on all these events that gave a lot of color to the drama. Thirteen episode was a perfect number for this drama. The ending was a little fast-paced, but not disappointing. The story wrapped well and the ending was not confusing or stupid. To complete this drama, beautiful songs accompanied it. Cyndi sang 3 majors songs, since she’s a singer. On the other hand, Mike He did have a song of his own, it wasn’t amazing, but I liked it. Sadly, it has never been released since he is not signed as a singer in his management company.
