Two strangers, who both proposed marriage to their respective girl/boyfriend, were rejected on the same day. They decided that the best way to deal with the rejection was to get drunk, real drunk. During the 24 hours of their crazy drunkenness, these two stranger became fast friends and got married… to each other. When they finally sobered up, they embarked on a mission to undo every crazy thing they did while they were drunk and prayed that their girl/boyfriend wouldn’t find out. However, it turns out that Jie Xiu’s girlfriend, Ai Wei, doesn’t want a scandal affecting her movie so she asks him to stay married to Xiao Ru for three months.
FINAL : 80%This drama is the spin off of the popular series. Fated to Love You. I had high expectations from this drama and I am not deceived at all. I would never say that this drama is ‘better’ than Joe Chen & Ethan Ruan’s, but I really enjoyed watching this every weekend. The story is completely different from Fated to Love You, but it has the same contract idea and drama lovers love marriage contracts. It is definitely not my favorite, but it was a refreshing drama and I appreciated the whole
I knew that the presence of Rainie Yang will not deceive me. She is a great actress and I loved her previous dramas. In this drama, her character, Xiao Ru, is a waitress who has no family. She was about to get married to her boyfriend, but he suddenly left her. Rainie’s acting is really good, and I also feel like there is no place for improvement. However, I have to admit that her character is a little boring, only because she’s a ‘mature, grown-up lady’.
I have to mention that this boyfriend, Yi Xiang, is acted by KingOne Wang. This is the 3rd collaboration between these two and I find it quite funny because they never end up together. This adorable guy is getting old though… His presence was important only in the first few episodes and then, he fades away.
Joseph Chang (a complete unknown actor for me) played Jie Xiu. He is not a arrogant CEO nor a poor dude, but he does have a bad temper. He is an interior designer and he only loves her beautiful girlfriend, Avril. However, because she is an actress/model, they cannot be in a public lovey-dovey relationship. At a certain, the man get annoys by this and his love will turn to Xiao Ru whom he will cherish. The character of the girlfriend is as usual, a woman who’s selfish and trying to grab this man. However, there’s no way I can hate her, because she’s really pitiful.
The story is light-hearted, funny and hate. I love the development between the protagonists already. These past months, Taiwan dramas has been so-so (except for Sunny Happiness). However, I did get the feeling of always wanting to know more, especially the scenes with Xiao Gui.
Also, a lot of actors and actresses from Fated to Love You appeared. I was hoping that there could be a link between the two dramas, but I guess that there are none… Except when Jie Xiu said: “Ethan Ruan was Fated to Love You, I am “Fated to Fail Till The End”. As for the OST, I am not amazed by any songs, because I know it could be much better. Of course, we expect a Rainie’s song. It is very pretty, but doesn’t she always sing this kind of song?
And as for the ending… I think it concluded the story pretty well and I was satisfied with the finale.
