Oh Dal-ja is a manager at a home shopping center. She is already 33 years old and is still single. And still waiting for her ‘prince’ to come. She has everything: money, power, and success. The only thing she dreams about is marriage. Then she meets flirty guy, Shin Se-do, who seemed very nice to her. After seeing how he flirts with Wee Seon-joo (and later dumped Dal-ja for her), the beautiful host of the Home Shopping TV show, she seeks revenge. Kang Tae-bong, a guy 6 years younger than her and has a mysterious past, pretends to be her boyfiend and signs a dating contract with her. But then again, who is this Eom Ki-jeong that seemed to be the perfect gentleman? He’s an enterprise representative who’s just so perfect: rich, good-looking, intelligent, and courteous, but recently separated from his wife. Three men, one woman: who will win Oh Dal-ja’s charm?
Happy dramas like this are always enjoyable: not too much hate, no evil mother, no stupid friends, no annoying rivals, no misunderstandings… yay!
The character of Dal Ja was really fun and I liked her character. She was realistic and her decisions were understandable. She was also really funny and it matches the cute Kang Tae Bong. I wouldn’t describe him as the “most handsome man ever in thisworld”, but I have to admit that he really got this attitude I adored during the drama.
This type of noona/dongsaeng relationship (aka older woman with younger man) is always hard. At first, I didn’t like this kind of story (see My Queen). However, I find myself accepting this kind of couple after watching My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry. But wouldn’t it be better is she fell in love with a man of her own age? Like Eom Ki Jeong, who was really nice? This character was kind of boring. He seemed to have been there, but haven’t done anything. However, his wife was quite fierce and even I got scared of her. The other man was Shin Se Do. I saw him as a really good friend! He only has a “rival tag” at the beginning, but after a few episodes, he has his own romance and hardships with his girlfriend Wee Seon Joo.
When I said “no evil mother”, it wasn’t completely true. There was this mother who were against the relationship between the main couple. However, it’s understandable and she’s not overdoing everything. Also, the friendship these characters have are very important. They are not immature and they actually help each other.
22 episodes weren’t too long and I really enjoyed the whole drama. Of course, having a “2 years later” made the ending more or less perfect… but the rest was awesome! The music wasn’t awesome, but I could say that it made a good ambiance to the drama. 🙂
