Essbee’s Opinion

Pre-watching review

After seeing only 3 teasers, it’s clear that I don not know much about this drama. People are anticipating because of Bi Rain, but I think the plot is really interesting. The teasers showed a LOT of running, car chasing, fighting… The music’s strong and it shows probably how the drama’s going to be fulled of action. I have the feeling that this drama would be in the style of Time Between Dog and Wolf. Even when I think about it, the lead male actors both have small, sexy eyes… I also know Daniel Henney, but we don’t know much about his character. Anyways, airing starts Wednesday, September 29th after the successful King Of Baking, Kim Tak Goo.

After 19 Episodes:

First thoughts was Rain is so hot. Then, why does he have weird smile and laugh? He totally showed his acting skills in this drama. I just like the random words he throws in (almost) perfect American English. I really like his character too, he seems playboy-ish, but he is actually really smart. He seems lost, but he has strategy to do anything: escaping, stealing, searching. It’s not the first time I see this kind of story, in which the main character being chased by the bad guys and the police, but I love watching them fighting and struggling to stay alive.

The lead actress is really cool too. She’s super pro to defend myself. I guess that it’s because many people want to kill her for.. And because of that, she’s very strong! She is loved by Kai, who seemed to be a perfect man, but we discover that he’s not that nice actually. Seriously, the title of this drama is perfectly appropriate! Ji Woo and JinYi are tracked by Korean police, the bad guy (aka Magilbeth?), Kai (who loves Jin Yi) and random guys (who don’t like Ji Woo).

The police officer seems to only interested on catching Ji Woo. He’s tracking him and following him everywhere. I don’t really like him because he’s very obnoxious. However, as I guessed at first, he will help Ji Woo. This character is really interesting and it’s even more when he falls in love with that female policeman.

This “bad guy” itself wants a large amount of money, and so, there are many people working for him, all wanting the same thing. At the beginning, we saw a Japanese bad guy also. His daughter is actually Ji Woo’s girlfriend, but we know that it wouldn’t work between them, but I wonder how things would go.

The story at first is actually really hard to understand. But then, things get more clear. However, as usual suspense dramas, there are mysterious which we never get until the very end. Also, the technology is so freaky and I’m just impressed with everything!! It’s really hard to understand Ji Woo’s co-workers, but I shall guess that they are nice… in general.

At first, I really loved this drama, because it was suspenseful and funny. However, after 10 episodes, the story gets slower & slower. It’s all about an old man who wants money. As soon as we understand better about all the bad people who are interested in that large amount of money, there are no more mystery. Things get redundant and we just want to move on! However, the story gets back to a good plot after episode 16. There are some more advance in the story. From there, there are many twists, we keep discovering new people related to the crimes. We start understanding about the gold story.

Also, I’m not very fan of the OST. There are many songs from popular artists, such as MBLAQ and 4Minute, but I didn’t really love their songs.

Still one episode to go!
