Pre-watching review

After seeing only 3 teasers, it’s clear that I don not know much about this drama. People are anticipating because of Bi Rain, but I think the plot is really interesting. The teasers showed a LOT of running, car chasing, fighting… The music’s strong and it shows probably how the drama’s going to be fulled of action. I have the feeling that this drama would be in the style of Time Between Dog and Wolf. Even when I think about it, the lead male actors both have small, sexy eyes… I also know Daniel Henney, but we don’t know much about his character. Anyways, airing starts Wednesday, September 29th after the successful King Of Baking, Kim Tak Goo.

WOOT! Wilber Pan is back! In this drama, he is a poor, but adorable kid. He just cares so much about everyone! And his acting seems to have improved a lot since Miss No Good. I love watching the behind the scenes because he’s just hilarious. The lead actress is a mix-blood girl: Chinese & French. She’s really pretty and I love her character too! Even though she’s rich, she’s not overly proud and everything. The supporting male actor is too cute! He has a small face and he just makes me feel like a baby when he smiles. However, he was a playboy and he’s paying for it three years later.

Not only I like the actors and their acting, I LOVE the plot! The parts that Jinghao was getting beaten up were… WOW! (I know that they were a little fake, but still… AMAZING. I like how the friends & family are supporting the main characters. Of course, Jinghao has no real family anymore. I really feel sad about his dad, it’s actually really pitiful to see an adult act like a child…  Meanwhile, we discover some past events about how Jinghao’s mother died. During the second part, there is a complicated twist in the story with Ruien’s dad and Jinghao’s boss.

I like how this drama had a little action in it also. There were a lot of fighting scenes and gun shots. Of course, there are parts that became long and draggy, but the most important is a good ending 😀

Then, there’s the “3 years later” (that I really hate), and the supporting female character appears. She’s a japanese star and she loves Jinghao. She has a annoying accent… and voice also. I completely pity her for having an awful mother. I think that she’s victim of everyone, so I really cannot hate her. However, her mother is a witch and I hate her.

The OST is good! Wilber sang the opening. And the other songs… I love them all. Huang Yu Xun sang the ending and a happy, girly-rap song. Also, there’s this guy who sings real HIGH notes and his songs in the drama are fully in english. I like them too.

Trailer OR Part 1:

Essbee’s Opinion:

10/10 Do you guys know “A Walk to Remember”?? I have loved that movie, and this one even more. These two stories are very similar. It is the kind of movie from which you cannot, not shed tears. It’s so touching and so sad! The major difference between these two movies is that in “A Millionaire’s First Love”, there’s a childhood love story (which Asian people love to put into the movies or dramas). And then, car accident, and then the guy becomes rich and arrogant… (typical Korean drama-ish)

This movie… is really fantastic. No other words to describe it.
