Xiangqin (Ariel Lin) is not a very intelligent girl. She’s in the worst students in her school, she can’t cook or anything that needs skills. However, she’s a very kind-hearted girl who loves the most intelligent guy in his school, Zhishu (Joe Cheng). Every girl loves him because he’s handsome and has an IQ of 200. However, he’s not interested by love and when Xiangqin confess her love, he completely ignored her.
When an earthquake destroyed only Qiangqin’s house, she moved into her dad’s friend’s house. It was actually Zhishu’s house. He ignored her for a while, but who can resists to Qiangqin’s naïve attitude?
97% I really hated the five first minutes. However, my friends said it was really good, so I continued… and I loved it.
First, the story was really lovely. The opposite sides of the protagonist are very common, but it was a lot more than rich VS poor. Also, both sides parents completely supports the couple, which is very unusual, especially Zhishu’s mom played by Cyndi Chaw who always tries to match them together. It was often really funny. Sad sometimes, but I had mostly laughter’s.
Then, the principal actors are actually… not sooo attractive (no offence, my opinion). Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng are really adorable together, but I can’t feel their charm… Their acting is really AMAZING! I still have the feeling that she’s a dumb girl now… Also, in other dramas where Joe plays “crazy” characters, I don’t have the feeling he’s the same guy.
However, Xiangqin’s friends, played by Jiro Wang , Candice Liu and Petty Yang are really nice. The “bad girl” played Tiffany Xu really pissed me off, but she did a great job!
I loved every song of the soundtrack and I had a lot of fun watching it.
The only negative side was the length, 30 episodes of 45 minutes is really long PLUS the sequel, They Kiss Again… This discouraged me a little, but at the end, I found it too short… (oups…)
In conclusion, I STRONGLY suggest this drama to everyone.
